That maniac bouncing of Unusual vibrations from your car’s rear wheels doesn’t don’t necessarily mean indicate that the rear suspension is going to fall off. Far from it. For all you know, it may just be an axle bumper that’s missing in action.

The bumper’s a piece of rubber that ‘stops’ the wheel axle from hitting the body panel as it bounces over the road. With relatively large lamps at the front, any car from this German automobile company is capable of illuminating well even the darkest roads. When paths receive a good amount of lighting, drivers are able to maneuver their cars more easily and safely especially during the night. At the heart of every lamp is a BMW headlight bulb that is the actual source of the light.

A BMW headlight bulb is a vital auto part in every light assembly. This small vehicle component, which is installed inside every lamp, is designed to produce a light beam that directly hits the lens. Once this happens, the lens functions as a prism and scatters the light evenly ahead of the car’s front end. A well concentrated intensity of light is produced because of the bulb and lens tandem. Without the lens, therefore, the beam produced by the headlight bulb is likely to be dispersed all over the front. Thus, illumination, which is the main purpose of the headlamps, is defeated.

Any owner who wishes to customize his or her car may consider changing the color of the BMW headlight bulb. For this, there are aftermarket replacement bulbs available that are capable of emitting an extremely white light or a vivid blue brightness among others. These power bulbs further optimize illumination when needed as well as improve the overall look of the automobile in motion. Besides through customization, frontal collisions and other accidents are also common opportunities for changing the headlight bulbs. Such incidents may damage the lens as well as the bulbs, and replacing these crucial auto parts right away is a must.

As part of the automotive lighting system, every car owner has to look after his or her headlights. This basic assembly facilitates a safe and sound drive especially at night. Without an efficient headlight assembly, with the bulbs at its core, the safety of passengers as well as of other motorists is placed in great peril.

Oil Dipstick Seal

Oil leaks are never mean good news. And looking for these leaks isn’t a picnic, either. Or at least, they look ugly and make your engine bay appear sickly. Tracing oil oil leaks can be harrowing;, but with a few pointers, you can identify which parts are leaking, or gushing, oil part is the culprit.
Well, you better pray that your engine isn’t a gusher.

One indication is dirt collecting around hoses or tubes. Since oil attracts dirt, so you can safely assume that patch of dirt is caused by leaking oil. One part notorious for leaking oil is should pay particular attention to the oil dipstick tube seal. It might just be the oil dipstick seal that’s causing the problem, though. You’re lucky if that’s the case. The seal makes sure that oil doesn’t seep out the dipstick tube.

Given the seal’s thin rubber structure, it’s no surprise that pressure from the crankcase wears the seal down over time.

You see, at the bottom of the oil dipstick tube is the crankcase. If your engine has seen better days, chances are, ‘blow by’, or gases from the combustion chambers, are leaking past the piston rings and collecting inside the crankcase. As pressure builds up, , oil can get and pushed out oil in all places, including the dipstick tube and the dipstick tube.

And if your car’s oil dipstick seal happens to worn down, well, you can say goodbye to your car’s engine oil. Don’t want that? Check on the seal regularly and replace it when necessary.

AT Gasket Set

Do you know that transmission repair shops all over America are a dime a dozen? And yet, they still shops manage to make out a living. In fact, they and even make a fortune. And they’ve got no one else to thank other than car owners themselves. Car owners are experts at ignoring the condition of the transmission system.

While new drivers are taught to maintain the engine right from the start, the tranny is given negative attention. Automatic transmissions (AT) systems , more specifically, need periodic oil fluid change to is important to prevent burning out. This fluid not only lubricates the transmission gears, but also aids in valve operation and helps clean away the dirt and metal shavings that might hamper the system’s performance.

One way to maintain the performance of your ride’s automatic transmission is byto making sure that All you need is an AT gasket set, and of course a filter, to keep the tran in shape.T the AT gasket set in your transmission system should is always be in top shape,. These gaskets seal the pan in transmission filters to to prevent transmission AT fluid from leaking out. The fluid is vital in keeping gears lubricated and reducing friction among AT parts.

The next time something feels wrong with the AT system, you can check on the system first rather than immediately taking your car to the repair shop. The problem could be as simple as a transmission fluid leak. If that i’s the case, a new AT gasket set is all you need to get rid of the problem.

You can easily be surprised if the stuff that comes out of the AT oil pan is black and sludgy. There’s more. The magnet in the oil pan is probably covered with metal shavings as well. You’re lucky it didn’t burn out on you. Now all you need is some fresh fluid and a new filter.

And oh, don’t forget to pick up an AT gasket set gaskets, keeps the fluid in.

Porsche Panamera, the Best Summer Car to Have

Summertime is travel time. Order one today and enjoy great discounts and a better performing car.

What sets your vehicle apart from others? Is it your sturdy transmission, the durable suspension, or your powerful engine? All these can surely make your ride very impressive but if your exhaust system is composed of underperforming parts like a leaking muffler, it is unlikely you’ll make anybody’s jaw drop. Mufflers minimize the noise generated from the extensive pressure and temperature of the exhaust. Depending on the vehicle type and model, two mufflers can be installed, a center muffler and a rear muffler. The center muffler helps the rear muffler reduce noise while enhancing the resonance of the exhaust system. Since center mufflers deal with the by-products of fuel combustion, they are prone to damages. (AP) — When Kurt Busch’s wife surprised him with a spot in a drag racing school, Busch had no idea what he was getting into.

He still does not really know. Busch is waiting out heavy rain and flooding to make his National Hot Rod Association debut at the Gatornationals. N.H.R.A. postponed his Sportsman class until Sunday at the earliest.

It was a small setback for Busch, who has grown accustomed to delays in Nascar. There was the pothole debacle at Daytona International Speedway last month and then he had to drive several extra laps last week to secure a victory at Atlanta.

He has waited considerably longer for this. Two years, to be exact.

“Little did I know how serious that we were going to jump into it,” Busch said.

Busch’s venture began at the United States Nationals in 2008, when he watched the event with the legendary drag racer Don Prudomme. About the same time, a drag strip was being built near his home in Charlotte, N.C.

“I said, ‘Well, I’ve got to have a car,’ ” Busch said. “They’re going to have Nascar Night, and there’s going to be nobody out there that’s going to beat me on the Nascar side. That’s really the main objective.”

Busch certainly could have the car to beat.

He bought a 1970 Dodge Challenger on eBay for $15,000 and started getting it into race shape. The street-legal car puts out nearly 1,200 horsepower now.

Busch got it on a track for the first time Monday, when he took it to Rockingham Dragway and made about a dozen passes in preparation for Gainesville, the only N.H.R.A. event that coincided with a weekend off for Nascar’s Sprint Cup series.

“We’re here and we’re enjoying ourselves,” Busch said. “It’s really neat, the camaraderie with the guys, hanging out in the pit area and just being one of the group. It’s just fun hanging out and having an off-week and spending time with my guys and just enjoying the weekend.”

But Busch is still waiting to get behind the wheel.

He spent much of Friday walking through the garage area, signing autographs, shaking hands and posing for photographs. He also mingled with other drivers and even stood near the starting line with his fingers in his ears for several qualifying runs in other series.

His cellphone kept ringing, too. The caller? His Nascar team owner, Roger Penske.

“He keeps checking in, saying: ‘How you doing? How are things going? Are you being safe?’ ” Busch said.

Busch assured his boss there was nothing to worry, even though he keeps receiving offers to jump in other rides this weekend.

Busch has some experience, too. After he got the bug to race, his wife sent him to the famed Roy Hill drag racing school.

“When I followed him and learned more about the drag-racing world, I learned that there was quite a bit that I didn’t understand,” Busch said. “Roy has taken me under his wing, and when you do something wrong, he’s the first one to tell you straight to your face. It reminds me a little of how my dad taught me how to drive in the oval ranks.”

He teamed up with his longtime friend Jesse Walker and started building a competitive car. Through the years, it has created vehicles that answer to the various needs of consumers ranging from city drivers to car enthusiasts. With the particularity Chevrolet has when it comes to the quality of materials used in manufacturing its vehicles, it is really not surprising that the company is able to create vehicles that last. To top it off, these vehicles have timeless designs that make it possible for the owner to keep on using the Chevrolet for decades without having to worry if the vehicle will actually be able to catch up with the changing times.

A Chevrolet vehicle comprises parts that are tested to perform at their best. This especially holds true for the 1990 model of Chevy Lumina which was introduced in 1989. It is the vehicle replacement for the Chevy Celebrity sedan and the Monte Carlo coupe. Being a Chevy vehicle, the Lumina has quality parts that spans from the most complex components to the simplest ones like the Chevy Lumina door handle. Having a quality-made door handle may seem simple and even trivial, but having one is vital in keeping the vehicle and all its contents secure from intruders. Similar to a house’s, a car’s door handle is a latch that enables one to open and close the door. It allows for easy entry into and exit from the vehicle.

Although the Chevy Lumina door handle does not necessarily contribute to the overall performance of the vehicle, having a faulty one can compromise the comfort as well as the security of the Lumina passengers. To avoid having a hard time operating the vehicle door, it is recommended to check on the condition of the Chevy Lumina door handle. It should be immediately replaced once the need arises.

Keep the Carpets Clean

Nothing compares to a Chevy car’s luxurious interior. However, a Chevy’s carpeting is always exposed to dust, dirt, grime, spillage, and moisture. Cleaning the mess in a carpet’s fabric requires so much time and effort. Sometimes, expensive carpet cleaners are needed to remove dirt and stains. The carpet’s fabric is very much like cloth. With constant cleaning, the carpet of a car becomes thinner over time. Since carpets are expensive, car owners use floor liners to keep them clean and make them last for a longer time.

Trap dirt, grime, and moisture from your car’s carpet. Get a Chevy floor liner now for easy cleaning.

Using floor liners saves one the burden of frequently replacing the carpets or removing stubborn stains that linger on the carpets despite thorough scrubbing. It is easier to clean up a floor liner than a car carpet. All that one needs to do is to take the Chevy floor liner out from the car for cleaning and hose the dirt down with water. The grooves in the Chevy floor liner that trap dirt can be easily scrubbed by a bristle brush.

The Chevy floor liner is made of a rubberized thermoplastic material that allows it withstand any temperature. It does not curl, crack, or harden despite its exposure to extreme temperatures. The floor liner is placed on top of a carpet to protect it from dirt, grime, moisture, and spillage. The Chevy floor liner has a raised-rib design or deep grooves in the mat to better trap dirt and moisture. Some floor liners are custom made to fit the floor on the front row seats. Seats at the back have slightly larger rubber floor liners to cover the larger floor area.

Say goodbye to costly carpet cleaners with Chevy floor liner

Keeping the car’s carpets safe has never been easier with the Chevy floor liner. Floor liners are a good investment for a car because they are less expensive than purchasing new car carpets.

Perf Accessories Shifter Extension

It’s hard to shift from one gear to another if your gear stick is practically just a few inches taller than its mount. It’s Camshaft modification is much more complex than that. You have to remember that upgrading your the engine’s camshafts requires modifying the rest of the valve train as well, especially the and this includes valve spring modification.

Why? The logic behind it is simple. Simply because with more aggressive camshaft profiles, V: valve lift greatly increases in more - aggressive camshaft profiles as compared to stock.. With a heavy-duty camshaft, You’ll engine will need stronger, heavy-duty valve springs to pull the valves back down close the valves. , otherwise, you’ll be suffering from valve float metal fatigue can occur when the valve springs and cams aren’t matched equally.

That’s when engine speed doesn’t rev down at high rpm (revolutions per minute).

If you really want more aggressive to equip your car’s engine with high-performance cams, make sure you replace upgrade each valve spring with a high-performance spring as well. This ensures that the valve springs are strong enough to deal with the new cams. Upgrading the valve springs with the cams also reduces the chances of premature valve train damage.

Otherwise, just stick to your stock cams. Highly recommended are titanium, Bee Hive or double-spring designs which are specifically designed for high rpm and racing applications. They’re a lot more stable and can withstand valve float, and won’t run the risk of breaking under extreme engine loads.

AC Delco Oil Filter

It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure out that an engine that running on dirty oil will never last. The hot gas rushing out of a small opening can make said noise a racket.

One exhaust part you should regularly check is the turbo exhaust gasket. This gasket is responsible for make sure that exhaust gases don’t leak out on their way to the turbocharger compressor. However, it relies entirely on one electronic device to provide it with that much needed information on the oxygen content in the exhaust. This electronic device is none other than the oxygen sensor, the auto part measuring the amount of oxygen in the vehicle’s exhaust.

The role of your car’s oxygen sensor is very essential that it cannot afford to be inaccurate at anytime. Its oxygen readings must always be exact for the ECU to be accurate with its modifications on the air and fuel mixture. You see, the oxygen information is vital as this will decide on whether the mixture is too lean or to rich and what appropriate actions need to be done. That is why car owners should only use Plymouth oxygen sensor for their cars.

As mentioned before, the oxygen sensors measure the amount of oxygen in the exhaust. This is quite an exhausting job as they need to constantly do this as long as the engine is running. The pressures of stress and heat will soon take their toll on the oxygen sensor if this device had been poorly made. Want to know what will happen if this electronic device breaks down? It will fail on delivering the oxygen information to the car computer and so the ECU will also have no information to analyze. The air and fuel mixture will either be left to be too lean or too rich. Either way, the engine and the environment suffer and will also lead to poor fuel economy.

But with the use of a Plymouth oxygen sensor, car owners can be sure with the quality of materials that Plymouth makes use for the production of this electronic device. This aftermarket company knows the vital role that oxygen sensors play and so makes sure to make its Plymouth oxygen sensor with durability and efficiency in mind. With this residing in your car’s exhaust manifold, you can be sure to have good fuel economy all the way.

The Tendencies of a Broken Air Filter

Air is one of the basic elements of human beings and of vehicles as well. As human beings need to breathe it for survival, vehicles also need it for the same reason, but more for their combustion process. Internal combustion engines burn fuel and air to generate power to propel vehicles. Thus, both of these elements need to be clean and be pure from contaminants. Clean fuel is easy to have as gas stations already provide this. But since air comes directly from the environment, there is no assurance of its purity. Thus, an air filter is a necessary car component.

All automakers equip their vehicles with this essential part, Saturn Corporation included. Saturn makes use of paper pleated filter elements, oil-wetted foam elements, or cotton for its air filter. These materials have already been proven to efficiently trap contaminants, preventing them from entering the combustion chamber. Considering the function of the Saturn air filter, car owners should check on this part every once in a while. They may already be driving with a broken Saturn air filter and still have no knowledge of it, leaving other car parts and the environment to suffer the consequences.

What can occur if one’s air filter is already worn out and not replaced?

Contaminants can easily pass through. When these contaminants are burned together with air and fuel, its direct effect is in the vehicle’s exhaust emission. Toxic emissions will start coming out of the vehicle. Overall vehicle performance will also be affected as the air and fuel mixture is not burned a hundred percent. Pretty soon other engine parts will be affected and damaged, leading to expensive repairs.

Never let any of these outcomes take place. Preventive measure is always the best thing and to do that, constant maintenance is the key. Immediate replacement is needed should the air filter succumb to wearing out. Remember, expensive repairs can be avoided just by not underestimating the importance of an air filter.

For Better Fuel Drive - for your Rolls Royce

Rolls Royce vehicles manufactured after the 1960s had been so fortunate to have been equipped with an electronic device that improves vehicles’ fuel efficiency more. It was because during the year 1960s, oxygen sensors were invented. These first came out as aftermarket parts but soon, Rolls Royce adapted their functions into the vehicles it manufactures. Nowadays, it would be common to find Rolls Royce cars equipped with their own Rolls Royce oxygen sensor.

Fuel efficiency is one of the things Rolls Royce is proud to have in its vehicles and this is because of its maintenance of the right ratio of air and fuel for combustion. The proper ratio is obtained with the help of the Rolls Royce O2 sensor with its constant monitoring of the oxygen content in the exhaust. It measures the amount of oxygen in the exhaust and gives this information to the car computer. The car computer delivers this information to the ECU or engine control unit where it will be analyzed. After which, the ECU will then modify the mixture accordingly if the exhaust is found to have more air than oxygen or vice versa. If it contains too much oxygen, the mixture is too lean and that would damage the engine. And if it is too rich or has more fuel than air, then there is a big possibility that the environment will inhale emissions containing lots of unburned fuel. Thus, the Rolls Royce oxygen sensor helps indirectly in preventing these two harmful effects from occurring.

When the mixture is too lean, the ECU makes the fuel injection system provide more fuel, and when it is too rich, it lessens the injection of fuel. Proper ratio of air and fuel for combustion can only lead to good results such as better fuel economy, longer-lasting engine, a boost in performance, and lower exhaust emissions. From these effects, one can see that the Rolls Royce O2 sensor performs an essential part for better fuel drive and vehicle performance.

Boosting visibility and fuel efficiency

Attain accurate fuel injection and efficient lighting with the Audi Fuel Injector and the Audi Fog Light!

Fog lights provide extra illumination on a cloudy or hazy night. They give off a wide, bar-shaped beam of light with a sharp cutoff at the top, and are generally aimed. Offered with either a white or selective yellow hue, fog lights are utilized at low speeds to increase the illumination directed towards the road surface. As such, fog lights’ maximum efficiency comes when used as an alternative to the dipped-beam headlights, as they reduce the “glare back” from fog or falling snow. Legality, however, varies by jurisdiction of using front fog lights without low beam headlights. Studies though, have shown that in US, more people erroneously use their fog light in dry weather than use them correctly in poor weather. This is probably common to Audi owners, because flaunting the Audi Fog Light is hard to resist. Aside from being highly efficient, they add that certain “spunk” to an Audi.

On the other hand, fuel injection is an important means of metering fuel into an internal combustion engine. Whereas carburetor depends on the vacuum created by intake air rushing through it to add the fuel to the air stream, the fuel injection system atomizes the fuel by forcing it through a small nozzle under high pressure. In Audi cars, the Audi Fuel Injector acts as a nozzle and a valve: the power to inject the fuel comes from further back in the fuel supply, from a pump or a pressure container. Made from most durable materials and out of the latest technologies, the Audi Fuel Injector boosts both fuel efficiency and horsepower.

Earls Brake Bleed Screw

So when was the last time you had your brakes bled?

If you cannot remember, then maybe it was a long time ago. Others, not so much--and one automaker in particular produces many of them.

The recent news that Chrysler may merge with General Motors didn't come as a surprise to many, as Chrysler has been struggling for years. It can't negotiate a deal with GM fast enough to save it from going under, in large part because its poor-performing vehicles are a drag on overall sales.

It therefore shouldn't come as any surprise that when the performance of cars is examined according to their predicted reliability, recalls and rate of depreciation, Chrysler vehicles dominate the list of the poorest performers, with seven of the 10 models on our list. All the vehicles have multiple recalls, ranging from airbags to door latches, along with mediocre resale values and bottom-level reliability scores for market-research groups.

Owners of the current-model-year Dodge Avenger, for example, have had to deal with six recalls. The depreciation and true market value of Avenger only ranks at two stars (out of a possible five) in the Automotive Leasing Guide, which provides depreciation estimates for use in the automotive financing industry.

And experts see no signs of Chrysler making quality improvements across the board, because the company currently lacks the financial resources to do so. It also remains unclear if the company has the means to hang on until auto sales revive.

"I'm not sure Chrysler can weather the storm as an individual company," says Dan Edmunds, director of vehicle testing at Edmunds.com.

It's an entirely different story, however, for the two Japanese auto giants, Toyota and Honda. The best-performing cars, according to our rankings, are all made by these two carmakers, with Toyota claiming six spots and Honda four in the top 10.

In the sixth spot is the immensely popular Honda Accord. It earned the highest Insurance Institute Highway Safety crash test ratings, its predicted reliability is high and there are no recalls so far this year.

"Honda's manufacturing quality is strong, and the consumer's perception of quality is also strong," says Jonathan Banks, senior director of consulting services for Automotive Leasing Guide.

Behind the Numbers

To compile our list of 2008 best- and worst-performing cars, we looked at five factors, all pertaining to 2008 model-year vehicles: the number of recalls to date, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) database; reliability ratings from Consumer Reports; depreciation, in the form of Automotive Leasing Guide's (ALG) star ratings; safety from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) crash test ratings; and fuel economy and annual fuel costs from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.

Fuel costs were based on AAA's national regular gas price of $2.42 and unleaded at $2.60.

Aside from a standout number of recalls, we looked specifically for below-average reliability, high depreciation and IIHS results of "marginal" or "poor" for worst performers. Of the vehicles that met at least two of these qualifications, we also looked at other factors, such as fuel efficiency and fuel cost per year of ownership, assuming 15,000 miles driven per year.

Leading the Pack

Just as Chrysler dominates the bottom of the list, Toyota reigns at the top, with six vehicles that have among the highest resale values and best reliability scores. And all of the top 10 are among the most fuel-efficient cars and SUVs on the road.

The fuel-efficient Toyota Prius hybrid tops the list with an "excellent" reliability rating, no recalls and a five-star-rated resale value. It has the highest fuel economy (46 mpg) and the lowest annual fuel cost of any car on the list ($789).

Another top performer is Toyota's Scion xD, a hatchback introduced in the 2008 model year as a replacement to the xA hatchback. The xD has an "excellent" reliability rating, no recalls and good fuel economy (28 mpg).

While the Scion is a solid performer, however, it isn't perfect. It earned an "acceptable" (second-highest) frontal crash-test rating but did score a "good" rating (highest) in side- and rear-impact crash tests. Also, its resale value is an average three stars.

While there are no similar cars from U.S. automakers on the top half of the list, there are bright spots for 2009 and beyond, as GM and Ford Motor both plan to bring more fuel-efficient, nicely equipped small cars like the Chevrolet Cruze and Ford Festiva to the U.S. from other countries.

"There are things in the pipeline," says Edmunds, at least for those two companies. "I just don't know if Chrysler will be around to do it."

Trailing the Pack

Chrysler has carved out for itself a big space on our list of poor-performing cars, but the automaker has plenty of company.

When gas prices topped $4 a gallon this summer, consumers dropped gas-guzzling SUVs like the Nissan Xterra (17 mpg), as sales plummeted 29.1% from January to October, compared with same period in 2007. The Xterra falls to sixth place among the worst-performing vehicles, as there have been three recalls on the car so far this year, not to mention its below-average performance in crash ratings in side (marginal) and rear (poor) tests, as well as its mediocre three-star resale value.

The Xterra's sales drop can't be chalked up to a general anti-SUV sentiment either, as the smaller Toyota Rav-4 rated fourth among best-performing cars and the Honda CR-V came in fifth. Unlike the Xterra, both cars deliver on fuel economy and resale value.

With the 2009 model year now in full swing (it kicked off Oct. 1), the 2008 model-year cars still sitting on dealer lots are loaded with incentives to make them more appealing to consumers. Chances are, says Banks, many poor-performing vehicles are among the ones with the highest incentives. But while you may save with a lower transaction price now, on a year-end deal, you're likely to be paying for it later.

"If it has a one- or two-star resale value, then it's not a great quality car," says Banks. "If it has a lot of recalls, then you may spend a lot of time in the repair shop. And when the vehicle warranty ends, you may face high repair costs."

Better Gas Mileage

Make Your Gas Count

Over the past fuel months, fuel prices have been reaching record highs across the United States. This can really cramp your budget, and many people are looking for ways to make their gas count. Now is a great time to start exploring ways that you can get better gas mileage and start saving money. So, here are some great tips that will help you get better gas mileage and save some money so the price at the gas pump won't hurt you quite so much.

Tip #1 - Purchase a Car that is Fuel Efficient - One of the main ways that you can get better gas mileage is to go with a car that is fuel efficient. If you're driving around a big SUV or pickup truck, if you don't really need it, it may be time to get a smaller car. Going with a car that is more fuel efficient can definitely help you to save a huge amount of money. So, when you're looking for a new car, make sure you find out about the fuel economy before you buy.

Tip #2 - Consolidate All Your Trips - Consolidating your trips is important as well if you want to improve your gas mileage. Instead of doing several different errands at different times, try consolidating them instead. If you know that you have to go pick up your children from school, then consider dropping by the grocery store along the way as well. It can really help you to save.

Tip #3 - Keep Moderate Speeds - Driving at more moderate speeds can also help you to save money and get better gas mileage too. When you accelerate slowly and break slowly, keeping your speed more consistent and moderate, you'll be able to make your car more efficient on gas. Avoid speeding as well, which can really cost you at the pump.

Tip #4 - Avoid Stopping as Much as Possible - If you don't have to, don't stop. Try to do everything possible to hit the lights green, since it really eats gas to have to stop and start over and over again. Try to anticipate the lights so that you don't have to stop unless necessary. This can really make a big difference in the fuel economy that you get.

Tip #5 - Try Additions to Your Tank - There are additions out there that you can add to your tank to help you get better gas mileage as well. Many of these tank additives are easily added to your gas tank and they are designed to help you get better gas mileage on your car. Not only can they help to increase gas mileage, but some of them may even help you to reduce the emissions from your vehicle as well, which is great for the environment. There are several gas tank additives today that can help the environment and your pocketbook at the same time.

GMC hood keeps everything covered

GMC hood, protecting the engine in a stylish way

Imagine a human body without any skin to cover up all the internal organs, that is not a very pleasant sight; so is a car without any external body panels. GMC, a popular manufacturer of trucks, SUVs and vans, not only focuses on the style and performance of their its vehicles but with their protection the style and look as well. In case of collisions, hoods are the car parts designed to bear the brunt of the impact to give protection both for the engine and passengers.

For there may be some harsh and abrasive elements in the atmosphere that can come in contact with the engine and nearby parts. This may then affect the performance of the vehicle, and may even cause some damage to the engine itself. GMC parts such as hoods are made from high quality materials ensuring their efficiency and durability.

These auto parts, no matter how simple they may seem, are composed of two panels. They are the outer and inner panels. The outer panel of the hood is just a metal cover which serves as the skin of the hood. This is the part that adds aesthetic value to the car. It is also the first line of defense for the engine. Meanwhile, the inner panel is the one that gives the strength to the hood. The inner panel’s function is to be sturdy and flexible enough to absorb and withstand the force of a head-on collision. The hood’s inner panel also helps in dissipating engine heat and absorbing engine noise.

Maintenance is essential in keeping a longer lasting GMC hood. Due to its exposure to various environments, it is prone to rust. In case this happens, the hood would need to be replaced. However, other car enthusiasts replace existing hoods to deliver better performance or more stylish appeal. Hoods made of carbon fiber are used to insulate the heat released by the engine for greater speed and power.

Evora 911-fighter bows

Expanding Lotus

Having revived itself with the sublime Elise and Exige two seater's, Lotus looks ready to take on the Porsche 911 with its new Evora 2+2, unveiled at the British motor show. Lotus Design penned the car, clearly using the Elise/Exige as a starting point. Despite its four-seat capacity, Lotus promises the Colin Chapman ideal of an “innovative lightweight chassis technology.” Its rear seats are “intended for children or smaller adults on short journeys,” which, if accurate, would prove slightly more useful than a 911’s rear seats.

Power is again from Toyota, a modified 3.5-liter V-6 with dual VVT-I, rated 276 horses in European form. Lotus says full performance figures will be available about the beginning of next year. For now, it estimates a 160-mph top speed and sub-5-second 0-to-60-mph time. However, “top speed is less important than stability at speed,” Lotus claims. Around the Nürburgring, the Evora proved “considerably faster” than the Elise and “more stable at speed” versus the Exige.

Lotus plans to begin deliveries next spring, but get your orders in early: The company will build only 2000 per year.

The New SL65

AMG Black Series

It is one of those uncompromising sports cars that’s a half baby-step away from being a full-bore race car, like, Mercedes says, the current DTM C-Class or the 1997 CLK-GTR from the FIA-GT series.

With two bigger turbochargers, the SL’s 6.0-liter V-12 is rated 670 horsepower and 738 pound-feet between 2200 and 4200 rpm (it could make 886 pound-feet if it didn’t have a limiter). Mercedes AMG claims 0-to-62 mph in 3.9 seconds and a top speed of 320 km/h (199 mph), electronically limited.

Transmission is the AMG Speedshift Plus, a five-speed automatic with fast manual modes, and the AMG coil suspension is fully adjustable. GMC knows the importance of these auto parts in their vehicles. That is why they GMC equips their vehicles with high quality GMC radiators for better engine performance. Since GMC is aimed at producing high performing and reliable vehicles, durable GMC parts are required for smoother operation .

GMC radiators are just some of the essential equipments in vehicles. The radiator is basically responsible for cooling the engine and nearby components. Radiators are auto parts tasked to at least take one-third of the heat produced in the combustion process to avoid overheating. by It does this by distributing cooling agents like a coolant. This coolant is a liquid, usually a mixture of water with ethylene glycol or antifreeze and a little corrosion inhibitor. This fluid then moves in a closed system from the radiator to the engine, where it conducts heat away from the engine parts and carries the heatit primarily to the radiator. As in most GMC cars, GMC radiators are strategically placed behind a vehicle's grille in order to benefit from the cool air coming in.

The radiator not only cools the engine but also takes the heat away from the engine.

Radiators are tasked to at least take one-third of the heat produced in the combustion process, in order to avoid overheating.

For a more effective cooling system, some engines have an additional oil cooler. This is a separate small radiator to cool the motor oil. Today, some cars that come with automatic transmissions have extra connections to the radiator, which is responsible to let the transmission fluid transfer its heat to the coolant in the radiator. Meanwhile, Turbo charged or supercharged engines may be equipped with an intercooler.

Motorists should know that for each vehicle type and capacity, there is a corresponding radiator. It is important that the radiator suits the needs of the engine for an efficient vehicle performance. For more effective cooling process, some engines have an additional oil cooler. Today, some cars that come with automatic transmissions have extra connections to the radiator, which is responsible to let the transmission fluid transfer its heat to the coolant in the radiator. Meanwhile, Turbo charged or supercharged engines may be equipped with an intercooler. As one of the highly used component in a vehicle, regular maintenance of the radiator is recommended. It is advised that vehicles more than five years old have their radiators checked at least once every two years. Motorists should know that for each vehicle type and capacity, there is a corresponding radiator. The same way GMC parts are designed for GMC vehicles.

New Era of Volkswagen

Company chief Winterkorn demands a cohesive design

Over the next three years, VW will be cascading new and heavily facelifted cars in an attempt to get new design coherence. When Martin Winterkorn became CEO of the Volkswagen Group, including Audi, in January 2007, he threw away most of the upcoming VW brand designs, criticizing them as overfussy and too distant from VW’s core value of intelligent simplicity.

Winterkorn’s designer at Audi, Walter da Silva, was promoted to the VW Group job. He set the VW team, led by Klaus Bischoff, on a rapid redesign. That’s why the Scirocco’s nose, flanks, and tail are different from the Iroc concept’s, which was intended for production. The new design crew wanted to make it coherent with the Mk6 Golf/Rabbit revealed this month.

Critical facial elements are the horizontal grille punctuated by the VW badge and trapezoidal lights outboard. There are few rules beyond that: da Silva says you’ll be able to see they’re VWs without confusing one with another. The shield grille has been abandoned. The designers don’t like the way it visually narrows the car and think it’s retentious and derivative.

Because of the shake-up, the new Golf/Rabbit was designed and brought to production in just 18 months, albeit on a carryover platform. The next-gen Euro Polo SCIROCCO small car also was thrown away and redone, for launch next year.

In the U.S., meanwhile, VW is rushing designs for a more “Americanized” Passat and Jetta to be built in a new Chattanooga, Tennessee, plant in early 2011. The Passat will grow in size to be closer to the Toyota Camry/Honda Accord, while the Jetta—already a car much more popular in North America than in Europe—will shrink to Corolla/Civic size.

In late July, VW management also met to view final models of the next-gen Beetle for the 2011 model year. It sits on the same PQ35 platform as the Golf Mk6. The Beetle retains the current look of a small hull with fenders, but changes to the proportions mean the driver sits farther forward and isn’t so lost under the arching roof. VW also has improved the packaging. One major aim is to get it sold in shop within-a-shop dealerships, with a similar level of customization as the Mini. Finally, the Up! micro car, which may include a Beetle-style version for the U.S., will likely be front-engined. Crosswind stability was a problem for the rear-engine concept, and when the body was redesigned to cope, it no longer looked like the concept. The extra cost of running connections to a front-mounted radiator was an obstacle, and the possibility of an engine free front-crash zone wasn’t as helpful as first thought.

Get the Mazda 323 Parts to achieve a premium car performance!

Mazda 323 All The Way

It is an interesting fact that the well-loved Mazda 323 comes in different names. It just depends on which country it is being sold. It was primarily called the Mazda Familia or the Mazda's subcompact family. It became known later on as the Mazda GLC, and then the Mazda Protegé. Its production in Japan was dated between 1976 and 2003.

In North America, the 323/ Protegé was relatively more expensive and less common compared to its entry-level competitors like the Toyota Corolla and Honda Civic, partly due to its manufacture in Japan. However, this did not stop the Mazda 323 from becoming a constant favorite among US car magazines, acknowledging the model for its spirited handling. In 1986, it crossed over to the EPA "compact" class, becoming the first small Japanese car to do so. Each Mazda 323 Part was equally acknowledged for performing as efficiently as expected.

Up to this day, Mazda 323 owners are satisfied with the performance of their valued car. This could be due to the unparalleled skills of the Japanese in creating the Mazda car, or probably because of the reliability that the Mazda 323 Parts offer.

Like any other Mazda car, the Mazda 323 Parts have been reputed to meet the expectations of the critical driver's eye. They are made with the most durable materials that were gathered through the latest technology. As the Mazda 323's were built in Hiroshima, Japan, and also assembled in Taiwan, Malaysia, South Africa, Colombia, and New Zealand, the Mazda 323 Parts were used to be manufactured in these locations, too. However, they now have become available for everybody at almost any auto parts dealer. So whether one needs a part to complete his ignition system, brake system or exhaust system, the Mazda 323 Parts are highly recommended.

Cold Air Intakes, Making F-250 Cooler to Drive

F-250 Cold Air Intake

The series of Ford pickup trucks have already established themselves as tough-on-the-road vehicles and the F-250 is one of them. Improvements and upgrades on its parts are continuously being done to ensure it keeps up with the changing times. But one could still attest that installing an F-250 cold air intake is one of the best ways to improve performance.

The F-250 cold air intake could be considered a performance system as it is composed of tubes and sometimes come with an air filter as well. However, these tubes have large diameters for the purpose of taking in more oxygen. The result of more oxygen is an increase in horsepower brought by the injection of colder or denser air. The trick it does is not to take in the hot under-the-hood air, instead draw in only the cold outside air. It is already a common knowledge that combustion generates heat so the introduction of cold air into the hot chamber is really beneficial. The cold air helps in reducing the pressure of heat, all the while creating more efficient burn. Better fuel economy, more horsepower, longer-lasting engine – these are some of the good things that come with the installation of an F-250 cold air intake.

Cold air intakes are among the sure ways to a more powerful driving performance. And here’s the best part – these are easily available in most auto parts stores and at a price just under a hundred dollars. All cold air intakes are the same, the difference only lies in the quality of materials used. But deep down, cold air intakes still have the same goals – bring in more cold air and provide for a more efficient combustion.

True, the 300+ horsepower of F-250s may be enough, but wouldn’t it be more cool and fun to have more than that? This performance part even has tempting offers as it is within a reasonable budget and its installation is quite easy. So, for a cooler driving experience, installing an F-250 cold air intake is the way to go.

Cadillac wheels as styling auto parts

Keep your vehicle performing and looking good with Cadillac wheels

Style and appeal of the vehicle are just some of the factors potential car buyers look at. They would often be attracted by the design of the vehicle's body. Cadillac was successful in this aspect as they were the first car manufacturer to hire a designer to produce a car's body instead of an engineer in 1927. This resulted to not only a high performing car but also a great looking one. Today, the body of the vehicle is not the only thing car enthusiasts focus on. Other auto parts are also considered, like the wheels.

In a traditional sense, the wheels basically support the tires and should be sturdy enough to withstand loads from acceleration, braking and cornering. In order to operate efficiently these auto parts are made from durable materials such as steel, aluminum and various alloys.

Besides being performance parts, wheels are now viewed as auto parts that add style and personality to vehicles. Options for customization depend on the material the wheel is made of.

For steel wheels, decoration is mostly done through hubcaps which vary in design and style. One of the most sought after hubcaps then was the one for the 1950 Cadillac. At present times, preference is given to alloy wheels because of their sleek and shiny appearance. Additionally these alloy wheels are lighter than steel and dissipate heat better, thus giving better performance. Alloy wheels are sometimes referred to as ‘mags’ or ‘mag wheels’. One challenge to owning mags is that these auto parts are more expensive compared with traditional steel wheels.

Having wheels upgraded is a popular way to enhance the look and efficiency of a vehicle. Wheels are usually categorized and designed under car model and manufacturer to guide buyers and also to ensure wheel compatibility with a car’s suspension and braking system. Simply said, there are Cadillac wheels specifically made for a Cadillac CTS or Roadster. This guarantees that both performance and appearance are not compromised in the wheel selection.

Volkswagen Drives Forward to a Greener Future

Greener Future for Volkswagen

Volkswagen is busy on reducing emissions and fuel consumption in its models as well as in pioneering the “recyclability” process, and was said to have plans in releasing a hybrid to the market by the year 2008. with the growing efforts of every car maker in driving towards greener pastures and people opting to go along with the choice of better fuel economy, Volkswagen has made its move in joining the revolution as well.

With the creation of vehicles like the Polo BlueMotion---the most fuel-efficient five-seater in the world, a universally fuel-efficient fleet of TDI engines, highly efficient and unique TSI engines (twin chargers) in the Golf and Touran, successful natural gas vehicles (EcoFuel) and a range of other models---there is still plenty of room for Volkswagen to fulfill its automotive dreams.

In China, Volkswagen plans to spend 600 million US Dollars over the next four years to develop environment-friendly engines. The German Automaker recently announced its plans for a 20 percent reduction in fuel consumption and emissions of vehicles produced in China with the help of modern engines, weight reduction, automatic gearboxes and other measures.

The current priority, because it is more effective, is to offer large numbers of TDI and TSI engines at economical prices to realize their immediate benefits with regard to oil consumption and emissions. However, Volkswagen will continue to research and further develop all potential engine types and introduce them as soon as it makes sense and is technically feasible. These include hybrid powertrain systems, such as the one Volkswagen presented in the form of a Touran prototype with its highly efficient combination of a gasoline engine derived from the TSI engine, electric drive and dual clutch transmission (DSG). Meanwhile, the first hybrids are already being tested as the deadline for the market is on 2008.

“Initially, there will be an eco version of each of Volkswagen's models. We call it BlueMotion. We started with the Passat and Polo and we plan to continue with the Golf. These models feature highly efficient engines, low-resistance tires and a different type of transmission. They will be designed to be the leading vehicles in their class when it comes to reducing fuel consumption,” Martin Winterkorn, Volkswagen CEO said in an interview with Business Week.

The next important step for the company would be to obtain fuels from renewable raw materials. SunFuel that is produced from biomass and cellulose-ethanol is a second generation biofuel. The focus here has shifted specifically to the use of CO2-neutral biomass feed stocks that can be used to generate these synthetic fuels. Because SunFuel is produced from renewable raw materials such as biomass, when it is burned the amount of carbon dioxide released is equivalent to the amount originally removed from the atmosphere by the plants supplying the energy. When used as a fuel in conventional diesel engines, the extremely high-grade and clean SunFuel reduces particulate emissions by 30 percent and can also be used in older vehicles without technical modifications. Moreover, simple adjustments to the engine controller are sufficient to also reduce Nox emissions by up to 30 percent.

Growing shortage of fossil fuels and an environment that needs protecting more than ever have set new challenges for automobile manufacturers. The first stage is learning of the importance of utilizing fossil fuels as efficiently and economically as possible while offering full measure of dynamics and comfort at the same time.

The Book: Mazda Repair Manual

Fix your car with the Mazda Repair Manual

More often than not, drivers are forced to become impromptu mechanics as most vehicles start to intermittently show faulty performance. Engines may start failing and the brakes may slowly decrease in efficiency. Although this would be considered as a normal result of wear and tear with owners rushing their cars to auto repair shops, there would be times when major problems occur in the most unsuspecting situations. Drivers may find themselves stuck in alleys and highways unable to find resolution to their vehicular dilemma. Frankly, the image of a car hood popped open with smoke coming out while the driver is blaring on the phone has already become a common sight.

It would be during these times when basic mechanical know-how can save the day. Simple engine tweaks or suspension adjustments can get the automobile back on its track again. Since trips to the local mechanic are becoming costly and time consuming, utilization of acquired mechanical know-how drastically decreases bills and charges made from constant fix and overhauls.

Back at the home garage, the most important tool that car owners can use is the automobile's manual. After all, the manual has vital information complete with diagrams and instructions that greatly aid in performing maintenance procedures and repairs.

Take for example the Mazda repair manual. Mazda's lineup of automobiles is different, and in some way unique from other models. Under the hood, there are elaborate and interdependent parts and components that make the Mazda vehicle. But with the help of the Mazda repair manual, mending fast and efficient solutions are provided with easy step by step guides. Not only that, it equips the Mazda owner with essential knowledge in troubleshooting and also familiarizes the person with the many different parts and accessories that make the vehicle. Most owners consider the Mazda repair manuals to be an important guidebook. Some of them even place the manual inside the vehicle never leaving without it.

Get Your Audi Motor Mount and Park Light Now!

Satisfaction Guaranteed with Quality Audi Motor Mount and Park Lights

Audi has proven to be one of the top European car makers producing luxury vehicles. More than the distinction, though, Audi makes sure that every facet of its automotive systems is well-designed and manufactured according to global standards for performance, comfort, and safety. Demonstrating Audi’s commitment down to the smallest detail is the slew of dependable components.

Take the Audi park lights for instance. They are mainly used to make a car visible when an Audi is parked. Front end park lights are located near or beside the headlights, although some are already mounted on the bumpers or fenders of a vehicle. Rear end park lamps are usually plain marker lights used to make the vehicle more visible at the back or at the side, especially during nighttime or during low visibility conditions. Most parking lights have amber bulbs, while some have red ones. Audi park light problems occur due to several reasons. One could be a bad filament or burned out bulb and the other can be a problem in the headlight switch, which controls the park lights.

Another noteworthy Audi auto component is the Audi motor mount. Normally, an Audi motor is twisted by the heavy forces of the turning of the crankshaft every time it delivers power to the rear wheels. It is the role of the Audi motor mount to prevent this excessive twisting from occurring. But by performing this task, it also means that the vibration due to the bolting of the motor direct to the chassis is transmitted throughout the car. A solution for this is the use of rubber in mounting the engine to the chassis to serve as a damper so as to allow the engine a certain amount of play and to keep the car from rattling or vibrating while on the road. However, due to excessive vibration and factors like road debris and oil, the rubber will eventually wear out, rip, and fail. This will then cause the motor to twist excessively. To address this problem, the mounts are replaced.

Different types of material are used to make Audi motor mounts today. Polyurethane seems to be the most popular one because it is typically soft-running. This material absorbs vibrations for street use, yet rugged enough for racing use. Aside from that, Audi motor mounts made of polyurethane are also resistant to vehicle fluids such as oils, coolants, and other road contaminants. Nowadays, more and more motor mounts are specially designed to endure heavy duty applications. A failing Audi motor mount usually causes a weird vibration when one shifts or accelerates. Also evident are a knocking noise and an uncontrollable shifter movement.

How to Make a Cold Air Intake DIY style!

DIY Cold Air Intake

Vehicle performance is everything for some car owners and they’d give anything to achieve that. But of course, being practical when it comes to vehicles is also one way to achieve the desired performance. It doesn’t always have to be expensive as one can always get himself a cold air intake or better yet, make one with a DIY (Do-It-Yorself) cold air intake. This device is one of the inexpensive ways of boosting up performance.

But before looking into details on how to make one, one has to be knowledgeable about the nature of the device. As mentioned, it boosts vehicle performance. It does so by taking in a colder or denser air from outside the engine bay (not from under the hood which is what the stock air intakes do). It also absorbs great quantities of cold air as its main goal is to supply more oxygen for a more efficient combustion.

Now that the functions of cold air intakes are established, below are the steps on how to make a DIY cold air intake. These would be helpful for those who want to try to unleash the mechanic in them.

First, one has to go to the store and buy the needed tools which are cone filter with an inlet diameter of about 3mm, a rubber hose that’s about 55mm, a flexible heavy truck 3mm exhaust tubing, 4-3.5mm clamps, and a high temperature paint (which is optional). The tools that one would just need are hack saw, sockets and some wrenches.

First thing to do is to remove the stock factory air intake installed.

Cut the stock air intake hose, get a heat gun and heat the rubber hose. While doing so, work the tubing into it. Get the clamp and put it over the rubber hose’s edge.

After that, take it and bend it the way it is needed to be bent. Be sure to leave as much space as possible between the exhaust manifold and the tubing (at least 1-2-inches). Then, remove the bracket that holds the factory intake in place. Remove the bolts that hold it and keep them somewhere safe. This will provide room to work on. Make sure that the gap between the road and the tubing is about 14-inches. Also note the length of the filter – if it is longer, make the pipe smaller. Measure the ground and the tubing using a ruler then cut it across.

Then start working on the air filter on to the tubing. Use the heat gun to warm the rubber part of the filter with then continue sliding it on the tubing. After that, place the clamp on the edge of the air filter’s rubber part and secure it down.

Support the tubing with the bracket that was holding the air intake before and bend it so that it becomes parallel to the tubing. One could also heat it so that it would be easier to bend it with a plier.

To secure the cold air intake in place more, reinstall the bracket and get the 2 clamps over it and the tubing. Then jack the front end of the car up, then put the clamp through the hole in the frame and around the tubing. Another reminder: don’t forget to securely tighten the clamp on the hose of the air intake on the throttle body. Then, check that all clamps are tightened down.

Now, it’s all set! Take the car for a drive and feel the difference that the cold air intake provides.

5M Yen to the Victims of the Niigataken Chuetsu-Oki Earthquake

Nissan Gives 5M Yen to the Victims

Nissan pledged 5 million yen in an effort to help the disaster relief efforts in the Niigata area where the July 16 earthquake struck. The 3 million will immediately go to the Central Community Chest of Japan to support volunteer activities, while other contributions will go towards providing rental cars to support the recovery efforts.

Nissan will be working with Nippon Keidanren, who will be donating 1,000 towels, part of a larger effort to assist the local residents who are being temporarily housed in emergency evacuation centers.

Nissan was left to idle two of its plants in Oppama and Tochigi on July 20, spokesperson Yuichi Nakagawa said. The automaker, based in Hamamatsu city, southwest of Tokyo, buys crankshafts and piston rings from Riken and transmissions from Jatco.

Tokyo-based Mitsubishi Motors Corp. will halt production at its three domestic plants, it said in a release. Mitsubishi Motors will halt production at its Mizushima plant, where it makes models including the Lancer sports sedan, for four days from July 20. It will stop lines at its Nagoya and Pajero plants for three days from July 21.

Honda Motor Co., Japan's second-largest carmaker, also said it may cut domestic engine production. The explanation begins with the battery’s importance to different electronic devices. You cannot run any high-end gadget if it does not have any battery. The battery is supposedly where the gadget, which has components needing energy supply, will be deriving the power for it to work properly. In your car, the battery is also vital. In fact, it is one of the most important components of every vehicle. By supplying the needed current, it powers many different components and accessories, such as the lighting devices, heated seats, stereo system, starter, and a lot others.

In order for the battery to supply the needed electricity, it requires enough amount of energy with a big part to be delivered to all the electrical components and accessories and some reserved for future uses. To keep it stored with energy and for continuous supply, the alternator recharges it. The battery comes with positive and negative terminals that are mainly used to transfer currents to various destinations. With them, recharging and delivery of electrical energy is efficiently done. However, the construction and location of the terminals make them susceptible to corrosion. If the battery is left sitting for a long time as you may not be driving your car often, the terminals are even more at stake of getting damaged as, in this setting, they oxidize much faster. That problem can be prevented if your terminals are equipped with a reliable terminal housing boot.

Corroded terminals are one of the reasons why the battery becomes dead. Keep away from that situation by ensuring your terminals with the Taylor Cable terminal housing boot. A terminal housing boot, by the way, insulates the terminals and protects them from accidental shorts. The Taylor Cable terminal housing boot is highly durable. It is available in black and red finish.

Keep battery terminals corrosion-free by insulating them with high-quality Taylor Cable terminal housing boot. You can easily order it here at Car Stuff.

Nissan 710 Valance

Keep your vehicle extremely good looking all the time with the use of Nissan 710 Valance

Isn’t it great to drive a car that exudes great looks and elegance? This respect could be vouched by the number of awards that its vehicles already received. An example of its awards is the 2007 Editor’s “Most Wanted Vehicle” SUV Under $45,000 that one of its luxury SUVs received. Another one of its remarkable vehicles is the Acura Integra LS with its fine performance. But for greater horsepower output, an Acura Integra LS cold air intake could be installed in place of the stock factory intake.

The Acura Integra LS cold air intake is better than the factory air intake because of its ability to take in more oxygen into the combustion chamber. At least 15 percent more horsepower could be expected just with the simple installation of this performance part. That is because more oxygen results into the more efficient burning of air and fuel. The intake of more oxygen is made possible by the tubes of the cold air intake that have large diameters. These tubes also feature smooth interiors which will be helpful for the smooth passage of air.

But the most beneficial contribution of this performance part is the reduction of heat in the combustion chamber brought by the intake of cold air. This cold air will be a relaxing change in the hot environment of the combustion chamber. Neutralizing this heat will also extend the life of the Acura Integra LS engine.

This performance part is not a standard part yet, thus, aftermarket companies take it upon themselves to manufacture cold air intakes. They even make cold air intakes that are specific to vehicle models to ensure efficient operation. So, car owners can easily find this part in aftermarket performance parts dealers. But of course, they have to make sure that the cold air intakes will suit the specification of their vehicles. That is the only way that cold air intakes could maximize their functions.

Ansa Header Pipe

Header Pipe

The exhaust header installed in your vehicle will only provide your car with superior function only if its components are in perfect shape. With superior ability in designing car parts fitted for excellent performance, BMW's got you covered from Radiator to Strut.

The BMW auto Radiator is engineered to harmonize the engine of BMW vehicles by regulating antifreeze into its parts. This way, its tendency to overheat is held in check almost all the time.

A radiator is a type of heat exchanger. It is designed to transfer heat from the hot coolant that flows through it to the air blown through it by the fan. Most modern cars, such as BMW cars, use aluminum radiators. These radiators are made by brazing thin aluminum fins to flattened aluminum tubes. The coolant flows from the inlet to the outlet through many tubes mounted in a parallel arrangement. The fins conduct the heat from the tubes and transfer it to the air flowing through the radiator.

The tubes sometimes have a type of fin inserted into them called a turbulator, which increases the turbulence of the fluid flowing through the tubes. If the fluid flowed very smoothly through the tubes, only the fluid actually touching the tubes would be cooled directly.

Radiators usually have a tank on each side, and inside the tank is a transmission cooler. In the picture above, you can see the inlet and outlet where the oil from the transmission enters the cooler. The transmission cooler is like a radiator within a radiator, except instead of exchanging heat with the air, the oil exchanges heat with the coolant in the radiator.

On the other hand, the suspension of a car is just as important as acceleration. Your car should be able to pull out the stops-take a smooth curve, stop without causing much ruckus among the passengers when the brake pedals are pushed down.BMW also has a solution for this. The BMW Strut offers automotive suspension and resistance to longitudinal compression. It also acts as a shock absorber for those unexpected forceful thrusts with every brake.

The Bavarian Motor Works or BMW as it is commonly known today, has been the frontier of car designs since its creation in 1917. But did you know that using auto accessories does not only enhance vehicles’ facade but improves its protection and working condition too? Take for instance a seat cover. Aside from giving your vehicle seats a tidy appearance, are you aware that this sheet of cloth also shields your vehicle’s seats from sun damage? That’s exactly the main point why you must equip your vehicle with high-quality front fascia. The front fascia’s primary purpose is to protect your vehicle’s front-end including its interior body from damages caused by road hazards like rocks and debris. To be able to serve that purpose, it must be crafted from very durable materials that are capable of handling such pressures. If you’re looking for a reliable one, the Xenon front fascia could make a great choice.

Made by Xenon, an automobile part manufacturer that has earned a reputation for high-quality auto products and accessories, the Xenon front fascia is made out of long-lasting polyurethane. Polyurethane, a polymer, is manufactured from a chemical reaction that results from a fusion between diisocyanate and two monomers. It is a durable material that can be as tough as fiberglass but soft as upholstery foam. It is commonly used in making toys as well as in assembling airplane wings. Not only that, the Xenon front fascia can also be repainted to match your vehicle’s color, thus, allowing you to give a personal touch to your vehicle.

So resist that guilty feeling each time you put some accessories to customize your vehicle. Focus on its advantages instead. Aesthetics, as always, is just a bonus.
